Welcome to NOF-GAS

What is NOF-GAS?

NOF- GAS stands for Nasal Oxygen Flow Impact on General
Anaesthesia and Sedation.

This is a clinical assessment starting in October 2018, which will be
run by 3 academic foundation doctors, and supervised by Dr Vassilis
Athanassoglou - consultant anaesthetist and airway lead for Oxford
University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This assessment aims to evaluate how Optiflow/High Flow Nasal
Oxygen influences anaesthetic/sedation choice for orthopaedic
surgery

Who can get involved?

We're looking for any medical students or doctors working at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre willing to collect data over a two week period. We expect this to take up roughly 5 hours of your time.

What will I need to do?

As a collaborator for this study you will
have 3 main roles:
1. Identify eligible patients
2. Manage data collection
3.Collect patient satisfaction surveys
